Is man or zone defense better for flag football? Neither is universally better: man coverage is stronger when your defenders can run with receivers and your league limits rushing, while zone is safer for youth teams, against crossing and rub concepts, and when you want to keep everything in front of you. Most teams should start in zone, add man situationally, and mix by down and distance.
